1. Overview
Shop Pilot is a productivity extension for Depop sellers. It provides tools that help users manage follows, refresh active listings, relist sold inventory, and prepare profile updates while using Depop.
We aim to collect and process only the information reasonably necessary to provide the extension's features.
2. Information Shop Pilot may access
Depending on the feature you use, Shop Pilot may access the following categories of information:
| Category | Examples | Why it may be used |
|---|---|---|
| Personally identifiable information | Depop username, account/profile identifiers | To identify the relevant Depop account and support account-related extension features. |
| Authentication information | Existing Depop authentication/session information | To make authenticated requests to Depop for user-requested actions. Shop Pilot does not require you to enter your Depop password into the extension. |
| Website content | Listing titles, descriptions, images, prices, sizes, listing status, profile text, sales/follower counts and related Depop page content | To provide listing refresh, sold-item relisting, profile enhancement and related seller tools. |
| Web activity / page information | The Depop page or URL currently being used | To determine which Shop Pilot features are relevant to the page you are viewing and to operate those features correctly. |
| Extension settings | Delay settings, randomisation preferences, listing counts and task state | To remember your preferences and maintain task progress between sessions. |
| Payment and subscription information (future feature) | Subscription status, Stripe customer or transaction identifiers, plan status | If paid plans are introduced, to manage access to paid Shop Pilot features. Raw payment-card details are intended to be handled by Stripe, not stored directly by Shop Pilot. |
3. How information is used
Information accessed by Shop Pilot may be used to:
- Provide the extension's core seller-management features.
- Display Shop Pilot controls and status information on Depop pages.
- Process user-requested listing refresh and sold-item relisting actions.
- Manage user-requested follow and unfollow workflows.
- Prepare or preview profile text changes before the user applies them.
- Remember extension preferences and maintain task state.
- Support paid subscriptions if payment features are introduced in the future.
- Maintain security, prevent abuse, troubleshoot technical issues and improve reliability.
4. Local storage
Shop Pilot may use Chrome's local extension storage to save user preferences and temporary task information. This may include settings such as delay duration, randomisation options, listing limits and the state of an active task.
Local extension data remains within the user's browser profile unless a future feature explicitly requires server-side storage and this Privacy Policy is updated accordingly.
5. Authentication and account access
Certain Shop Pilot features require authenticated interaction with Depop. Where necessary, the extension may use authentication information already present in the user's logged-in Depop session to make requests to Depop on the user's behalf.
Shop Pilot is not designed to ask users to provide their Depop password directly to the extension.
6. Payments and Stripe
Shop Pilot may offer paid plans or subscriptions in the future. If payment features are introduced, payments may be processed by Stripe or another third-party payment provider.
Shop Pilot is intended to avoid directly storing full payment-card numbers, CVC codes or similar raw card credentials. Payment providers may process this information under their own privacy policies and terms.
Shop Pilot may receive limited payment-related information such as subscription status, customer identifiers, plan information or transaction status where needed to provide access to paid features.
7. Data sharing
Shop Pilot does not sell user data.
Information may be shared only where reasonably necessary to provide the service, including:
- With Depop, when Shop Pilot sends user-requested actions or retrieves data required for its features.
- With Stripe or another payment provider if paid subscriptions are introduced.
- With service providers used to host or operate Shop Pilot, if server-side services are introduced.
- Where required by law, regulation, legal process or enforceable governmental request.
- To protect the rights, security or integrity of Shop Pilot, its users or others.
8. Data retention
Locally stored extension settings and task state may remain in the user's browser until the extension data is cleared or the extension is removed.
If Shop Pilot later introduces accounts, subscriptions or server-side services, relevant account and billing records may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes and enforce agreements.
9. Data security
Shop Pilot uses reasonable technical and organisational measures intended to protect information from unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure or destruction. However, no electronic system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
10. Third-party services
Shop Pilot interacts with Depop and may in the future interact with Stripe or other service providers. These third parties operate under their own terms and privacy policies.
Shop Pilot is an independent third-party tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by or officially associated with Depop.
11. Children's privacy
Shop Pilot is not intended to knowingly collect personal information from children in violation of applicable law. If you believe information has been collected improperly, please contact us using the details below.
12. Your choices
You can stop Shop Pilot from accessing Depop by disabling or uninstalling the extension. You may also clear locally stored extension data through Chrome.
If Shop Pilot introduces user accounts or server-side data storage in the future, this policy will be updated to describe any additional access, deletion or correction rights that apply.
13. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as Shop Pilot develops. If material changes are made, the effective date at the top of this page will be updated. Where appropriate, additional notice may be provided through the extension or its store listing.
